"totoxic effector responses, antibody - dependent pathways, and regulatory pathways may represent functionally distinct immune programs operating at different stages or through independent mechanisms during infection. To better understand the immunological ar chitecture, we constructed a correlation network and calculated the degree centrality for each cluster (Fig . 2d). The myeloid_C8 cluster, identified as pDCs, had the highest centrality score (Supplementary Table 1), positioning it as a key hub in the immun e network. This cluster displayed negative correlations with ADCC - associated clusters and positive correlations with memory - like NK populations, suggesting that pDCs may play a central regulatory role in balancing cytotoxic and humoral immune responses. Th ese results support a model in which early, coordinated cytolytic NK and pDC - mediated responses contribute to efficient viral clearance 22 . In contrast, antibody - dependent responses, engaging less cytotoxic NK subsets , may become more prominent in individuals mounting an adaptive immune response against the SARS - CoV - 2 virus."
