ROBOTICS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE / 1.3 Robotics vs. Artificial Intelligence
"Robotics and AI are related but different fields. Robotics focuses on machines that interact with the physical world. AI focuses on systems that perform intelligent information-processing tasks. AI-powered robotics combines both to create machines that can perceive, decide, and act. For example, a robot arm might follow a fixed path without AI. An AI-enabled robot arm might use a camera to identify an object and select an appropriate gripping action."
