In the farthest reaches of space, astronomers found something impossible. A galaxy that seems older than the universe itself. They call it HD1, a faint red smudge of light nearly 13.5 billion light years away. It existed just a few hundred million years after the Big Bang, yet it already shines as if it had billions of years to grow. By all laws of cosmic evolution, it shouldn't be there. It's forming stars ten times faster than the Milky Way. And it might even hide one of the earliest black holes ever born. A monster that grew far too quickly, far too soon. The twist. If HD1 truly is as old as it appears, it could mean our understanding of time and the Big Bang itself is wrong. A galaxy that shouldn't exist. And yet, it does.
