"Hello, everyone today, my topic for Internet medicine is hypertension. So what exactly is hypertension, hypertension or high blood pressure? It is a chronic medical condition that is due to the force of blood against the walls of the arteries that is constantly high or chronically high. So what? How do we determine this high blood pressure or high hypertension? So it is mainly by examining two factors, the diastolic and the stoic blood pressure. So what is diastolic and systolic blood pressure? Systolic blood pressure is nothing, but it is the pressure when the heart beats and what is diastolic? It is a pressure when the heart rest between the beats. So normally the systolic to diastolic ratio is always 100 and 20 is not always, but generally our average. If we take for a normal patient it is 100 and 20 by 80. Elevation or going below that ratio may indicate some sort of pathology. So what are the some types of hypertension? It can be primary or it can be secondary so primary hypertension is normally in 90 to 95 percentage of the cases. It is having no identifiable cost and it is usually influenced by genetics or it can be due to obesity or stress or aging. Really secondary hypertension. It is caused due to an underlying factor, that is, it can be due to some disorders related to kidney or endocrine disorders like hyperalose urronism, fioocchromacytoma that is a cancer of their adrenal gland or can be due to some medications that you're taking like NES or contraceptives or some sort of other underlying disorders that will lead to black pressure. Now how do we treat this and what is a management that you can do to control hypertension? One of it is life lifestyle changes, that is, you have to take a diet that is low in salt, that is, you call that diet dash diet and exercise, weight loss, stress reduction. All of this and you can also take. If it is high, you can take medications such as ACE inhibitors like inalpril. You can take beta blockers like Etinyol. Arabs like loartans, calcium channel blockers, diururetics. All of these are some of the medications that you can take for hypertension and complications. If it is left untreated, it can be in the heart. It can be left ventricular hypertrophy. Heart failure, myocardial infectction and in the brain can lead to stroke or cognitive decline. In the kidney, it can cause chronic kidney disease. In the ice, it can cause hypertensive reoppar, so it is also called silent killer because you may go unnoticed for a long time and then it can cause even higher risk of other secondary diseases. So be careful and thank you for watching. "
