Nebuchadnezzar's life story explained in one minute. Did you know the most powerful king in the ancient world once lived in a field, eating grass like an animal for seven years. Nebuchadnezzar II became king of Babylon around 600 and five BC and turned it into the greatest city on earth. He built the famous hanging gardens, raised walls so massive they became legend, and commanded the most feared army of his age. He conquered Jerusalem, destroyed solomon's Temple, and carried the Jewish people into captivity in what became one of the most important events in all of biblical history. Then something broke him. Ancient records describe him abandoning his palace and living outdoors like a wild animal for seven full years, no throne, no crown, no power. But he came back, he returned to his palace, reclaimed his kingdom, and ruled again. Ancient writers saw this not as a medical mystery, but as a lesson, even the greatest king on earth had limits. Nebuchadnezzar built an empire, lost his mind, and still found his way back to power.
