For more than 50 years, Special Olympics has been leader in creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Unified Robotics takes inclusion one step further by bringing students with and without disabilities together to explore the world of robotics through hands-on learning. Through teamwork, creativity, and problem solving, students of all abilities can learn, collaborate, and grow together. Unified Robotics offers a series of guided sessions where students design, build and program robotics, preparing them for a final competition where they showcase their work. This program breaks down barriers, creating an inclusive environment where students not only learn STEM skills, but also build meaningful relationships. Whether it's through developing technical skills, gaining confidence, or fostering a passion for STEM, Unified Robotics provides students with valuable life lessons. With the support of Special Olympics Washington, Unified Robotics offers comprehensive resources and training, making it easy to bring this program to your school or community. We are looking for educators and volunteers passionate about inclusion and STEM to join our growing movement.
