The government just made saving taxes easy for the common man which the rich have been using for decades. Hi, this is Chandra Leica and I love talking about money. So recently the government allowed all major private banks to open and manage CDAS accounts which are actually helping people save lakhs of rupees in taxes. Let me simplify this in one minute. Let's say you sell a house or mutual funds or even any long term property like in the list here for a profit of 30 lakh rupees. This profit is called a capital gain and is 100% taxable. But the Income Tax Act actually allows you to save this tax if you reinvest that amount into a residential house whether it is already built or under construction. The limit here is up to 10 crores worth of profits. The only condition here is timing. Basically, you can get a gain at any point. But you might not have found a house or it might even be under construction. Hence, the government created a separate scheme called CGAS. So instead of paying tax on this 30 lakh rupees, you can park that amount into a CGAS bank account. So now when you find a house or when the loan payments actually begin, you can withdraw money from here and use it. So the result is you can legally save 3.75 lakh rupees as in this example in taxes which you can actually use it for making your interiors or any other purposes. We have built an entire tax course with case studies on strategies to help you save taxes. Now is the right time to plan. Just comment the word tax and I will send you the link to access this course. Also, don't forget to read the captions. Just share this with yourself to refer later.
