We're currently undergoing a blistering heat wave. It's getting really difficult to keep my plants watered, especially the container plants. So I'm going to get this flower pot connected to the drip irrigation system that we have currently. I'm definitely going to need some pruners and a lighter. I've got some extra quarter inch tubing, a quarter inch elbow connector, an adjustable drip head and a quarter inch tubing stake. I'm grabbing the quarter inch tubing that's coming off of the main branches. I'm going to take off this end cap and attach an elbow. Using a lighter makes this job much easier on your fingers. Next, I'm going to take the extra quarter inch tubing that's coming off of the main branches. I'm going to take off this end cap and attach an elbow. Using a lighter makes this job much easier on your fingers. Next I'm going to take the extra quarter inch tubing that I grabbed and put it through the hole that's in this stand. Here's the adjustable drip head emitter. I like the adjustable ones because you can change it depending on your needs. I'm putting on the stake and we're going to just go ahead and stick that into the pot. I'm going to take the remainder part of this tubing and approximate how much I'm going to need so that I can connect it to the elbow. Now that that looks good, I'm hammering in a landscape pin to keep it in place. So I'm checking the water flow after turning on the irrigation. With all this in place, this pot is going to be much happier and hopefully we'll be able to survive the heat wave without any issues.
