In this video I'm going to show you how to easily convert decimal numbers to binary. Say we have the number 124 in decimal. All you have to do is repeatedly divide this number by 2. We'll take 124 divided by 2. That gives us a quotient of 62 with the remainder of 0. Be sure to keep track of the remainders. They're important. We'll take the quotient of 62, divide that by 2. 62 divided by 2 is 31 with the remainder is zero. 1 divided by 2 gives us 0. This is where we're going to stop with the remainder of 1. Starting from the bottom and working our way towards the top, this is our binary number. The bottom most number is the most significant bit. The top most number is the least significant bit. The decimal number of 124 in binary is 11111100. 11111100. And that's how to convert decimal to binary easily.
