This video is for you. If you are choosing B.Tech Computer Science and now wondering what exactly will you be studying for 4 years in B.Tech Computer Science program. Will it be just coding and stuff or something else as well? So in the first year, it's more like a common starter pack for all branches. You will study Engineering Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Basic Electricals. Then in the second semester, you will get a test of coding with C programming. In the second year, this is where your CS actually begins, with the main subjects like advanced mathematics, data structures, OOPs, computer organizations, TOC, DVMS and operating systems. This is where your foundation as a CS grad is built. And in the third year, this is when things get exciting and deeper with the computer networks, web development, software engineering and maybe even AI or ML. Here you will also build projects, get into internships and probably your first hackathons as well. Finally, in the fourth year, it's less about lectures and more about applying what you have already learnt. Here you will pick electives, work on major projects and prepare for placements or higher studies if you are opting for.
