Here's exactly how I'd learn machine learning again and get a job in big tech if I had to start from zero. First, you want to learn Python. This is literally what every one of the industry uses. And if you're not using it, you are making it 10 times harder for yourself. The next thing that I learned are these three libraries, NumPy, Pandas and Matplotlib. Because if you can't clean and visualize your data, you'll always have models that underperform and do not do well. The next thing that I do is move to PyTorch and start building out real neural networks and then after this you want to decide what you want to specialize in. So learn CNNs for vision, RNNs for sequence data and transformers for large language models. Finally I build three solid projects that show actual real data, real modeling and real results. And the type of project that you want to build depends on you but my personal recommendation would be building something like a computer project, since it's very visual and it can really show recruiters what you did in a very simple way. This is just one type of project that you can build, but building projects where you can easily show the goal, the outcome and the impacts will be super important since these are the ones that will actually get you interviews.
