Can I ask you a quick question? Do you think AI and artists can coexist in the same future? Because for the last couple of years, every year conversation has sort of ended in the same way that AI is stealing from artists. And I do get why people think that way. Because if AI is learning from someone's work, shouldn't the artist have some sort of say in what happens next are building a system where artists can choose to license their own music. Fans can create AI covers and remixes and the original artist gets credited and paid. This is the first time I've seen AI built around artists instead of just built on top of them. It also answers one of the biggest criticisms AI has faced in a very long time because no artist were ever given a choice and I think Spotify is finally giving them one. Consent has been missing from this conversation for a long time now and I think this finally takes the step forward.
