"This is forward proxy, this is reverse proxy. What's the difference? A forward proxy protects the client. It hides who is making the request. While a reverse proxy protects the server. It hides where the request is going. This is CDN, this is cache. What's the difference? A CDN... also known as content delivery network is a network of distributed servers that delivers content to users from a location closest to them while a cache stores frequently access data to reduce latency and application load this is a load balancer this is an api gateway what's the difference a load balancer decides which server will handle your request while an api gateway and then route it to the right services. This is Monolith. This is Microservice. What's the difference? A monolith packages all the functionalities like auth, user notifications in one application, while Microservices split these functions into independent services, so there's no single source of failure. This is DNS. This is Service Discovery. What's the difference? A DNS helps you find public service by name on the internet, while Service Discovery finds dynamic services talking to each other within a distributed system. This is Serverless. This is Container. the difference serverless runs your function when triggered and stops immediately after while container runs your application continuously on an infrastructure you manage this is bandwidth this is throughput what's the difference bandwidth is the maximum capacity of data that can be transferred over a network connection while throughput is the actual amount of data that successfully transferred this is rate limiting this is throttling what's the difference rate limiting blocks the request above a defined threshold to protect your system, while throttling slows the request to manage load without blocking them completely. This is synchronous communication. This is asynchronous communication. What's the difference? Synchronous communication requires both sender and receiver to be available at the same time, while in async communication, a sender fires a request and the receiver processes the request whenever it's ready. And finally, this is replication. This is backup. What's the difference? Replication keeps a live copy of data to serve traffic instantly, while a backup is a saved snapshot you restore when something breaks."
