Starting with the TD1, Personal Tax Credits Return, which all new employees fill out to determine the amount of federal and provincial income tax you must withhold from their paychecks. It accounts for personal tax credits such as basic income exemptions and tuition fees. Next are the T4 and T4 A-slips. The T4 is the statement of remuneration paid and goes to your regular full-time and part-time employees. It captures their total employment income for the year along with all deductions made for CPP, EEI, and income tax. The T4A is the statement of pension, retirement, annuity, and income and is issued to contractors and self-employed individuals. This tax is not deducted at the source in the same way. Finally, the PD7A is your payroll remittance form. And into it QuickBooks, you can access it by going to Payroll, selecting payroll taxes, and then the Payments tab and choosing remittance forms for either monthly or quarterly periods. Into it QuickBooks makes managing all of these forms simpler, keeping everything organized and accessible with just a few clicks.
