Well, one thing I think is the most salient part of my research project for my PhD is to look at that history of Canadian R&B and understand where we're coming from and where we're going with the contemporary artists. And again, that's representing more diversity, that's reflecting on Canada's racist history, and also looking at the way that Canada and the US kind of merged and diverged from one another, because that history is deeply embedded in American history. So I think that it's important to have that recognition, but see what's unique about Canadian music and Canadian identity. And taking it a step forward for future generations, I'm currently working on some children's books on media literacy, because I think that media literacy is very important, especially as new generations grew up with more technology surrounding them. So really understanding the power that media has at a young age is something I'm a huge advocate for.
