Let's understand the difference between data scientist and AI engineer. They both are responsible for training machine learning models. AI engineer has one additional responsibility which is deploying the machine learning model and integrating that with the rest of the technical infrastructure. You can think of AI engineer as a combination of data scientist and software engineer. So if you're a person who love math and coding and also love software engineering then you should go for AI engineer role. If you don't like computer science fundamentals and software engineering too much but if you love math statistics and ML algorithms then go for a data scientist role.
