Psst! Hey, did you hear that Canadians are off the hook for the taxes that they pay this holiday season? Okay, okay, maybe not all of it, but this is still great news. Let's break it down. For the next two months, Canadians will enjoy relief from the 5% goods and services tax on certain purchases that they may need to make. This won't apply to everything, but some of the categories you will now save some money on will include food, beverages, restaurants, kids' clothes and footwear, car seats, kids' toys, jigsaw puzzles, video games, physical books, printed newspapers and Christmas decorations. This tax break ends on February 15th so make sure to take advantage of it while you can and if you've got questions you can find more details about this on the government website Canada.ca. Don't forget to hit that follow button and see you in the next one.
