Hi friends, always, always, always detach the pump and clean all the roots that got stuck under as well as inside the pump. Even during the grow cycle, whenever you change the water, it is always better to open the pump and remove any roots that got stuck in or under the pump. Look at this, so many roots stuck under the pump. I wish AeroGarden makes this pump setup a little better. Every time I have to use a screwdriver to remove the screws and take off the pump. I wish this setup is some sort of plug and play, something like a cover that we can snap off and snap on. Anyway, it is what it is. Just make sure to detach the pump and remove any roots that got stuck.
