I did not expect Parsley to get this big from a set up this simple. All he used was a 5 litre bottle and a few plastic cups. He cut holes in the bottle to fit the cups, then added just a little substrate inside each one. No big planter, no heavy soil set up. Next he added a bit of potting mix and about 3 parsley seeds per cup. Then he kept everything moist and let it germinate. The smart part is the base. Instead of filling the whole thing with soil, he used water with nutrients. You can dilute NPK, use hydro nutrients, or even compost tea from your composter. And the result is wild. Giant parsley, super healthy, deep green, and honestly better than a lot of traditional soil grows.
