We are currently in Cyprus where we set up a vertical farm featuring 100 aeroponic towers inside a climate controlled greenhouse. Located in a Mediterranean climate, we came here to work side by side with our partners to install this aeroponic farm and train their team to operate it effectively. This farm will primarily be growing lettuce, arugula and aromatic herbs. We began by arranging the layout of the farm, preparing the float valves that connect to the bottom reservoirs and setting up the submersible pumps together with the metal support rods that stabilize each tower. Then came the assembly of the towers, stacking each groin section to its designated height. Once the towers were ready, we prepared the Ionic Mineral Nutrient solution and connected it to a centralized gravity-fed tank, which automatically supplies the towers with nutrient-enriched water. We then configured the evaporative cooling pads, circulation fans, and extraction fans to ensure optimal airflow and temperature inside the greenhouse. After the installation was completed, we transplanted the seedlings, which mainly consist of Lola lettuce, Romaine lettuce, Wild arugula, and Flatleaf Parsley.
