Do you want to grow your own food but you don't have land? I'm going to show you how to do it in a bucket today. All we need is a bucket, a pool noodle, some nutrients and the plant itself. So we're going to start by making four holes in the bucket. I use a drill to do this but do it however you want. Now we're going to chop up the pool noodle. Fine, fine, fine. We're going to use the noodle to fill in the holes in the bucket. Buy some seedlings and then we're going to use water to gently massage the plant removing the dirt so that all we're left with are the holes in a sec. From here, all we do is place our seedling into the pool noodle. Make sure it's looking nice and comfy. Bring back the carved out piece of the pool noodle and just insert it in making sure we have the tightest hole ever. Ease the pool noodle into the side of the bucket making sure the roots are touching the solution. Cover the bucket and then just wait for your plants to grow. You should check in on your bucket every two to three days, monitoring the water level and all you need to do is top up the solution. We're never going to replace the water completely. If you have mosquito issues in your area, you can buy a bubbler for a fish tank or you can put a small mesh over the holes in the side of the bucket. Hydroponics uses 90% less water than traditional farming, pretty much eliminates the use of pesticides or herbicides and gives you a quicker harvest. So I hope this video motivated you to try it out today.
