Here's what we grew in our vertical farm using aeroponic towers over the last six months. Starting with broccoli, which takes three months to grow, we can get 18 broccolis from one tower. Next are cabbages, where we grow early maturing compact varieties, taking only two months to mature. We grew several kinds, including the Conqueror, Farrow, and Famosa, which is a Savoy variety. We like to grow colorful cauliflower and primarily focus on purple and orange varieties. Then we have Orient Express eggplants and Thanos eggplants. Which after 8 weeks, we get basket loads of eggplants on a weekly basis. We plant 40 cucumber plants on 4 towers inside a grow cage where we grow spineless unages, Japanese white Itaches, Diva and Pickling cucumbers. It only took 6 weeks of growth to get these wagon loads of cucumbers. Zucchinis are fast growing and we grow downy mildew resistant varieties like Dunja green zucchini and yellow fin zucchinis. We also grow full towers of celery, green onions, fennel and our favorite purple chili variety known as Buonamulata. Herbs is one of the biggest focuses in our farm. We grow several types of basil including Thai, Genovese, Nufar, Cinnamon, Lemon and Purple basil varieties. Along with curly parsley, Italian flat leaf parsley, compact dill, thyme, sage and cilantro. We grow full towers of flowers with a big focus on marigolds such as yellow and orange African marigolds, Durango Outback Marigolds and French miracles.
