Can circular wings work better than straight wings? Well, circular wings don't look like they should fly at all. But as this paper plane shows, they can actually create lots of lift using their top and bottom surfaces, whilst also being super efficient thanks to not creating wingtip vortices. But how would they work on a powered model aircraft? Well, to find out, I built a small rubber band powered model plane. And the one I ended up building actually flew further than a straight wing plane with the same wing area, which was pretty crazy to see. Yeah, come on! and at first this didn't get a plan. But after a bit of rebuilding, I finally got the plane flying with the correct thrust angle and a wing that performed perfectly. It turned out that this plane flew pretty much as well as a normal winged aeroplane. Finally, I'd answered the question.
