Sine Cosine

Quantitative Problem Solving in Natural Resources / Triangles

"For a chosen angle in a right triangle, sine is the ratio of the opposite side to the hypotenuse, cosine is the ratio of the adjacent side to the hypotenuse, and tangent is the ratio of the opposite side to the adjacent side. These ratios are dimensionless and remain constant for similar triangles. Knowing one acute angle and one side allows the remaining side lengths to be calculated."
