What is dysthymic disorder?

"Dysthymia is less severe than major depressive disorder but more chronic. A depressed mood and at least two other depressive symptoms persist for at least two years in adults or one year in children and adolescents. Symptoms may be less disabling than major depression but can still prevent people from functioning well or feeling good."
