"An additional multivariable sensitivity analysis without selection, in which all candidate symptoms were entered simultaneously together with age, sex, and obesity without p-value-based variable selection, yielded broadly similar effect estimates for most of the main associations, although some estimates were modestly attenuated and anxiety and depressive symptoms no longer had p values < 0.05 (Supplementary Table S8)."
