Eclipse Prayer

"When the sun eclipsed, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) led the people in the eclipse prayer. He prolonged the recitation, bowing, standing, and prostration. In one narration, he performed two rak`at with four bowings and four prostrations; in another description, he performed two bowings in each rak`a. The first standing and bowing were longer than those that followed, and the eclipse had cleared before he finished the prayer. He then praised and glorified Allah and addressed the people. An announcement was made that the prayer was to be offered in congregation, and the people aligned behind him."
