Eclipse Signs
Sahih al-Bukhari - Sunnah.com - Sayings and Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) / Select Collections
"The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of someone's death or birth; they are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. When people see an eclipse, they are instructed to pray, remember Allah, say Takbir, invoke Allah, give Sadaqa, and make haste for the prayer. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) also said that Allah frightens His devotees with eclipses. When the sun eclipsed on the day Ibrahim died, people said that it had eclipsed because of his death, but Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) rejected this belief and instructed them to pray and invoke Allah."
