Insulin Variation
Association between weight/body mass index and insulin dose requirements in gestational diabetes: a retrospective cohort study | BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care / Results
"Insulin requirements varied considerably within the cohort (figure 1). While some patients achieve control with the initial 14 units of basal insulin, others require substantial dose escalation, reflecting the variable degree of insulin resistance in patients with GDM.\n\n\n\nBoxplots of initial and peak basal insulin requirements. The horizontal line indicates the median, the box the IQR (25th–75th percentiles), whiskers extend to 1.5×IQR, and dots represent outlying observations."
