Introduction to Soil Science / Mapping Methods
"Geographic Information Systems are software and hardware systems for storing, manipulating, analyzing, and presenting spatial data. GIS uses layers containing georeferenced objects and values, including vector data made of points, lines, and polygons, and raster data made of regularly spaced pixels. It supports soil mapping, remote sensing, spatial analysis, and precision agriculture."
